We bought a little toy silver sable cockapoo(Zoey) from Barbara last August 2007 and he is the smartest little fellow. He is now one year old and totally house broken and knows lots of tricks. He also loves children and belly rubs. He fit right into our family. We just love him.

Barbara is a very pleasant and very helpful person to deal with and loves her puppies a lot and takes great care of them. We picked our puppy up directly from Barbara and met Barbara and she gave us a little tour of her kennels and they are very clean and neat. All the doggies seemed to be well cared for and happy. Dealing with Barbara was a pleasant experience and I still feel welcome to ask her any questions I may have and she always answers them.

I recently got a mini merle cockapoo(Jolie) from Carolina Cockapoos and must admit that it was the most pleasurable pet buying experience I have ever had. Barbara was easy to reach, knowledgeable, helpful and entertained all my queries. My puppy is perfectly sweet and super smart! She learned 3 tricks in one 10 minute stretch of training! She’s great with all of my kids and loves to snuggle! When I picked her up from Barbara, I was able to meet some of the other puppy’s parents and see the outdoor kennels. I was pleased with how clean the dogs and the kennels were and how well treated they were! Barbara is a great breeder and I have highly recommended her to several friends already.

I did alot of research before purchasing a puppy from Carolina Cockapoos and I am so glad that I did. Barbara is wonderful and loves her puppies which is why her puppies have such a sweet disposition. I love my first little guy (Jackson) so much that I have decided to add another addition to our family. I have recommended her to my friends and my next door neighbor is buying a puppy from her too! Thanks Barbara for your kindness and making buying a puppy so wonderful.

Thanks to Barbara and her wonderful Cockapoos I am officially a dog person. My husband and I were looking for a Cockapoo when we found Barbara’s website. I have never owned a dog before and wasn’t sure what to expect. Barbara was totally awesome and made me feel very comfortable. The facility was great, very clean, with alot of happy dogs and puppies. I had fallen for one pup just looking at his picture on the website and was totally smitten once I met him in person. The whole process was so easy and wonderful, we decided to get two puppies – a brother and sister who we’ve named Bailey and Skyler. The puppies adjusted to their new home very quickly and have been easy to train. They are so fun and affectionate and they love meeting new people and other dogs. My husband and I feel so lucky to have found our two puppies – we can’t say thank you enough to Barbara and Carolina Cockapoos!

We were looking for a Cockapoo when we found Barbara at Carolina CockaPoos through the North America Cockapoo Registry. We bought a mini black phantom from her in January 2008. When we took her to our vet the entire staff had a fit over her and she got a “great puppy” score from the vet. We named her “Bitsy Dog” in honor our vet because she had treated our previous Cockapoos.

On the next visit to the vet she was elated at how healthy and intelligent Bitsy was. She wanted me to get her into a puppy class immediately because she was so smart and confident. The recommended trainer did not have puppy classes starting soon and she recommended putting Bitsy into basic obedience training. I expected a two month old puppy to have difficulty with the training but by the third class she was not only keeping up with the class but she was the star. The trainer said “tell the truth, Bitsy is really a 10 year old trained dog and you are trying to tell us she is only 3 months old!” A little later she said “it’s hard to believe there is so much intelligence in such a small head.” Bitsy continued with advanced obedience training and 5 days before she was six months old she passed her certification test for an AKC Canine Good Citizen.

We can’t say enough about how happy we are with Barbara’s baby.

Our little girl is great! She is a wonderful addition to our family. She is so loving and good and smart. Everyone loves her. She makes many people happy every day. She loves people old young and in between, and loves other dogs. She is beautiful. We get many compliments on her every day. She is perfect. Barbara is a great breeder. All of our Cockapoo’s great traits are because of Barbara’s careful breeding and wonderful care. Thank you Barbara!

    Barbara,

My family and I are so excited about getting our new puppy. We are anxiously awaiting the birth of our toy cockapoo at the end of this month. I could not ever have imagined how much we would love our Mopsie, the beautiful snow white cockapoo that we got from you 4 years ago. Mopsie has been the perfect dog for us. She was easy to train, is fun loving, but tranquil and calm when we need her to be. I can look at her and tell that she is looking forward to getting a new sibling :) Thanks to your care in breeding wonderful pets and matching them to their new homes, our little snowball has been a sheer joy since the first day of her arrival.

I adopted a toy-sized cockapoo puppy from Barbara in July. From the time that he was born in May up until picking him up in July, she kept me informed on his health and of course provided pictures for me. She also was willing to answer all of my questions. When I went to go pick-up Snap, I was impressed by how clean and well-kept the kennels were for the dogs and puppies. They were all so happy! The experience that day was wonderful and confirmed that I had found a wonderful breeder.

After bringing Snap home, everything has been wonderful! Barbara has answered any questions that I have had. Snap is always admired for his “good looks” by everyone he meets. As a puppy, Barbara made sure he was well-socialized and as a result, he now loves to be around people and other dogs. He loves making new friends! Our vet confirmed that he is also very healthy.

The best things about Snap is his personality. Barbara told me about the breed but somehow I did not think it could all be true! Snap is extremely smart and very eager to please. He has learned lots of tricks in a short period of time and is extremely obedient. He was also house-trained easily. While he is playful and full of energy, he also loves to cuddle and protect his owner.

I highly recommend Barbara and her wonderful breed to everyone.

  9. We adopted our cockapoo in Oct 2007. She has been with us for one year and we couldn’t be happier. Our little Zeba is the smartest, friendliest, warm dog I have ever met. I have three children, ages 7-11, and needed a kid-friendly, non-shedding, hypoalergynic dog. After much research on the web I chose Carolina-Cockapoos. Barbara was great to work with. Everything went smoothly.

I have multiple children in and out of my house weekly. Zeba loves everyone she meets. However, at night, she is quick to let me know if she hears an unusual noise with her certain howl-bark. This is an added benefit that has helped my husband come to love her. She has learned several commands, including the all important “potty”.

My family has had so much fun with Zeba we are now adding a second dog from Carolina-Cockapoos for my mother. She recently lost her mother, and has mentioned how a dog, like Zeba, might just be fun to have around. So…..we have asked Santa to bring her one! We will keep you posted.

Bo Bear just celebrated his second birthday. He is one happy guy. Living in Steamboat Springs, CO has been a daily playground for Bo. He loves to hike, lick, lick, hike, eat, hike, love, hike, lick, love … He is sweet, funny and very smart. Bo is my first dog and I had no idea how wonderful this experience would be. It has been nothing but laughter, fun and that unconditional love thing is just the best. Barb has given me a blessing. Bo is well known in the Steamboat community and loved by all. He is a little guy with a big personality. Barb, I thank you for giving me all this joy wrapped up in this cute/loving little package. He is just perfect.

We first came to know Barbara after we purchased our beloved SADIE LADY in July, 2007. Sadie was a wonderful dog. She was housebroken in less than 2 weeks, did great with her kennel and was an angel with our small children. The cockapoo breed does NOT shed either….a realy nice touch for an indoor dog. Sadie tragically died last fall and we were devastated. My husband contacted Barabara about getting another cockapoo and Barabara had one up for adoption. WE adopted LADYBUG and she has fit right into our family. Barabara has the cleanest, nicest kennels we have ever seen. It is mostly inside and the dogs have access to the outside as well. She is very particular about keeping her kennels clean and free from infections. As a nurse, I really appreciate that. I can ever imagine having any other type of dog. The cockapoos travel well. They are small enough to go enough to go anywhere, yet durable enough for little boys. They are so patient with children.

  13. Barbara Carrescia says:

Barbara, Bandit has fit so well into our life and our home. We couldn’t be happier! He is a quick learner, just as you said and is picking up tricks all the time, at only 3 months! Everyone who meets him loves him and some mention wanting one just like him. I don’t hesitate to tell them to look on your website. Thank you so much for such a great addition to our family. I’ll try to send pictures soon.

We recently got a toy male Cockapoo from Barbra and we just love our little puppy Oscar. He’s less than 4 months old, and very alert and intelligent. He was easy to potty train and already knows several tricks and is the happiest little puppy you can imagine and always wants to please his owners and loves to cuddle. We have a very active life style and little Oscar fits right in and is very adaptable and loves exploring new things, places and people and loves to play with our neighbors kids. The vet we take him to thinks Oscar is extremely healthy and has a great personality.

Barbra is very responsive to any questions we had prior to picking up our puppy and I can highly recommend anyone who wants to get a cockapoo to get one from Barbra and Carolina Cockapoos. This experience has been wonderful and it shows that Barbra takes pride in her dogs and really cares about placing her dogs with the right owner.

We wouldn’t change anything and we got the perfect dog for our family. THANK you Barbra!

Our little chocolate baby, ITZY, will be three years old in June. She is a precious little package. She may very well be the most kissed dog in America. Let me just say that if you are looking for an exceptional breed of dog by an exceptional breeder—-then STOP right here. Look no further! If your experiences with your cockapoo, reach a fraction of the joy and happiness we have and are experiencing–then you are truly blessed. Iwill never be without one of Barbara’s cockapoos in my life again! When we walk ITZY she literally stops traffic–people are absolutely pulling over to ask about her. Thankyou ms. Dillion! A proud mama, marcie beam

    Molly – our Chocolate Cockapoo:

We went on line andfound Barbara Dillon – dog breeder. We spoke with her and wanted a black female cockapoo. At that time she didn’t have one – but had a chocolate female. Every week she posted pictures of Molly and each week she seemed to get cuter and cuter. When it was time for Molly to begiven to us and we saw her in person, she was simply beautiful. About 3 lbs of chocolate fluff. We hadn’t had a puppy in years, so Barbara gave us some helpful hints and said pets are a lifetime commitment. Molly’s given us countless hours of enjoyment. She loves to be around people and especially likes to play with the “kids”. Molly will be 3 years old Nov. 9th. The vet gives her a report card when she’s due for shots etc and she always gets an excellent report. Molly has a wonderful personality and to us she is a true bundle of joy.

  17. Maureen and Chris Ireland says:

We recently purchased our second cockapoo from Barbara and are thrilled (again) at the new addition. Finnegan is a sweet boy with a wonderful personality who loves to cover all our family in kisses. He has been a very easy puppy to train and is almost completely housebroken at 4 months old. Barbara is a wonderful resource for any questions and truly cares about what happens to her puppies after they leave. She wants to know how they are doing and looks forward to getting updated pictures. I would not hesitate to recommend Barbara to anyone looking for a new puppy. Both our cockapoos are healthy and happy dogs and I could not imagine our life without them.!

  18. Katie Reedell and Family says:

I recently adopted a toy sized cockapoo from Barbara and couldn’t be happier! He’s such a joy to have around the house and has brought a lot of happiness to my life and my entire family. Noah is a tiny little cotton ball of fluff that everyone adores. I flew to NC to get him and as soon as I walked into my terminal, I could see strangers admiring him and a beaming, friendly woman suggling him who I knew must have been Barbara. From the moment he was born to the day I got Noah (and beyond) Barbara has been friendly, easy to reach and is always willing to answer any questions I might have. This is a breeder that truly cares about the well being of her puppies and her clients. Don’t hesitate to send pictures and updates to Barbara as she’d love to hear from you!

At eight 1/2 weeks old and having only been home 5 days, Noah is already on his way to being crate trained and is getting the hang of clicker training as well. His training classes start October 11th and I can’t wait to have him travel with me! I think the best thing though, is that he has brought such joy to my grandfather, who recently lost his dog. He and Noah are snuggle buddies and I’m so glad to see “the boys” together. Noah just came hom from his first vet visit and got a flawless report. Thank you Barbara for everything and if anyone out there is looking for a good breeder (my search took months) stop right here, because you’ve found the perfect place in Carolina Cockapoos!

    All the best!

  19. We have had Figaro since May 2008 and he is absolutely wonderful. We have two boys (3 & 5) and Figaro is like a brother to them. When I met Figaro as a little baby I thought he was the cutest thing and he just gets cuter everyday. His personality, sweetness, playfulness is a testimony to the wonderful Cockapoos that Barbara breeds. Barbara was wonderful to work with and so helpful with questions and making sure we had everything we needed when Figaro came home. The facility is very well kept and you can tell all the dogs are well cared for and loved. They have their own little home – quite adorable.
I never would have thought I would become so attached to Figaro but I can’t imagine him not being a part of our family. We are considering getting another Cockapoo too! They are lovely family members!

  20. We were honored to recieve a beautiful dog who was a little over 2 years old a couple of months ago from Barbara and her husband. He had been called Spunky on paper but when we got him home he didnt seem to come when we called out Spunky and Barbara told us when she had a group of the doggie parents out running and playing she would just holler “hey girls ” and they would all come running, we just kept coming up with names we liked and it was very cool when we said you remind us of Tramp from the Disney movie “Lady and the Tramp” personality wise and even the adorable face and expressions, well his little black and white ears perked up and he did that thing that dogs do when they cock their head from side to side as if they are really listening and understanding you and by God now I know they are listening. We started calling him Tramp and he would come to us and then he started running to us cause he knew something good was going to happen when we called his name, either food, play, go for walk ( sometimes I think I can get him to bring me his leash soon it just hangs over a speaker stand near the door and just slides off, I am working on it. I know he is smart enough to get the idea cause he goes right for it when i go toward the door to get it and he knows he’s getting a nice long walk, also do you know that this dog turning three on November 22 and his training has been so easy, he has had only 2 accidents on the floor(in the first week) and that is all. we are crate training him just like a puppy and he goes right in the crate at night as its under our table so he sees everyone (cats included-they lay down too) and doesnt feel lonely at night cause he knows when i turn TV off and lights off it sleepy time and he goes in and lays down, he is just so gorgeous and lovable and smart and everything else you could say about a good dog. I can tell him No when he starts to run too close to other big dogs in the neighborhood, cause they dont know him too well yet, so me and my neighbors are slowly getting him to not worry about me ( they are also very protective about their owners and he will be still right by my side until I say “OK they’re good people tramp and then he stops and lets everone pet him and he now has a group of people friends and new doggie friends, Oh WE love him so much.
We picked him up on Oct 8 and that day will live in my heart forever cause not only did i get the second love of my life )my husband Larry being the first), my son Jason and daughter-in-law Whitney blessed me with my 5th grandchild (3rd grandaughter)that very same day, so everything was as it should be. Barbara has made our life so much fuller and we are so happy. If we have a dog that is almost three and has all these wonderful qualities in him from their loving and caring for him, them just imagine how (if you are lucky enough to get one of her puppies) that she has trained from birth till they are placed in your loving arms to become part of your family and believe me they are part of your heart as soon as you look into their eyes and a look passes between you and your new baby they are then just like your child which is really a blessing for both your family and friends who get to partake in his or her life from almost the very beginning. I got Tramp at over two years old and he is so loved and gives back his love a hundred times over so we (as in all of the new families of Barbara’s puppies and dogs) are the lucky ones cause we have been given a gift of unconditional love from these beautiful animals, My mama still says always be grateful for the good things in life and you will be rewarded. Looking in Tramp’s eyes show me the truth in something I use to take for granted. THANKS again Barbara & hubby for probably giving me one of the greatest gifts in my life with the exception of my family (Larry, Jason & Whitney , Jennifer & Tim, my grandkids Alison, Kyrin, Timmy, Giselle, and my newborn grandaughter Gianna ) Oooops almost forgot, we have 2 cats(BB & Ruffles) who are so in love with Tramp and 4 turtles, which there isnt a whole lotta of playing going on there as I am afraid the turtles will bite his nose or something, so he just looks at them and cocks his head and is probably saying “WHAT are these things and why are they swimming in all that water ?…hehe. Live, Love and enjoy this beautiful, loving new addition to your family. We are and couldnt be happier. If you want a furry addition to your family, then think of my story and i believe from the bottom of my heart that Barbara and her family prepare these puppies for their new home and new lives with someone, they do it with love, kindness, socializing with other dogs and children and the rest is up to you as their start in life begins when they have their new mom & dad and kids, or just mom and dad. Larry and I call him out retirement gift to ourselves, even tho he is still working it was the greatest gift we ever gave ourselves. Again our Tramp is just an unbelieveable part of our family thanks to Barbara & her family. * * * * * * God Bless You * * * * * *

Dear Barbara, I just wanted to touch base with you. Rocco was two in September. He is the healthiest dog I have ever owned and just as sweet as he can be. He is playful like a puppy but well behaved and easy to train. His chocolate coat has gotten a lot lighter. I will try to send pictures when I can. I check your website frequently and especially enjoy seeing the Fancy/Buddy pups because I know what a treat their new owners are going to have. I also enjoy seeing Alli as she is Rocco’s littermate and his face is just like hers except for the color. He is a great companion and the highlight of his day is when he wakes up and goes room to room to lick each member of the family and wag his whole body along with his tail. Thanks for such a wonderful Cockapoo!

I’m so incredibly happy with my puppy from Carolina Cockapoos. She is my first dog, and has been a blessing to my family. She has the best disposition, is great with kids, quick to learn, and healthy. Barbara was very patient and helpful to me by answering all of my questions and providing advice. Thanks again for everything!

We adopted a mini white cockapoo with black spots on February 7, 2010 from Barbara. We have named her Molly and she is now 6 months old. Molly has made a wonderful little sister and companion for our 17 month old dog, Bentley. She is just adorable and has a big personality! We couldn’t have asked for more in our new family member. Barbara gave us so many helpful tips and was genuinely interested in helping Molly adapt to her new home and new family members. Molly has a sunny disposition, gets along well with other dogs, cats and humans. She loves to cuddle, play with her PVC pipe and spend time with Bentley and us. We love how she smiles when she sleeps! Barbara is a very responsible, caring breeder. She allowed us to tour her kennels and they were spotless! All of her dogs seemed to be happy and in good health. Molly has had absolutely no health problems and has always seemed happy and healthy! We cannot image our life without Molly! Thanks again, Barbara!
