Cockapoo Colors & Markings
Cockapoos can come in many different colors. Here are some explanations and to see a picture example, just click on the color name:
- Apricot – similar to cream but the highlights will have definite reddish cast
- Black -sometimes with maybe a little white on them
- Buff -any shade of tan from light to dark
- Chocolate -can vary from light to dark brown sometimes with lighter or darker shades
- Sable -a chocolate factored with tipping and shading in black of black especially around the nose and ears, this color is a ever changing color.
- Cream – close to white but sometimes with darker buff highlighted on the ears
- Red -noticeable red but can sometimes lighten to a apricot as the puppy grows
- Silver - Not always a true solid color but may have patches of light to dark silver.
- Parti -This is a white base with various spots of black brown choclate red or buff.
- Tri – This is 3 colors Black tan and white,
- Merle – this looks like a pair of acid washed blue jeans and sometimes can be brown.
- Phantom -Black or Brown body with a lighter shades of buff to a rust or choclate on the paws ,sides of face and above the eyebrows and under the tail.
- White – White sometimes with a buff coloring around the ears.
